The focus of each class is development of mechanical skills necessary to effectively run a specific weapons system and/or incorporation of tactics that permit the students to manipulate time and distance in such a manner so as to gain advantage over their adversary or adversaries.

EQUIPMENT:  All firearm courses will require 300 rounds.  Rifles must be equipped with a sling, and strong side holsters are required for handguns.  Always bring eye and ear protection.

Defensive Handgun:

Course objective is to develop and refine mechanical shooting skills in order to maximize one's ability to place rounds on target with both speed and precision. Our goal is to teach the basics of shooting by focusing on stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger control and follow-through from start to finish, and we achieve this by progressing through a series of exercises and drills that become increasingly more challenging.

Defensive Carbine:

Most fights are short-range affairs regardless of chosen primary weapon systems where both speed and accuracy are needed.  Students learn to run the carbine effectively at distances ranging from "bad breath" to 50 yards in 360-degree environments.

Close-Contact Defensive Skills:

Fights often take place at distances dictated by the Violent Criminal Actor, and these distances are often contact distances. A gunfight does not have to be gun on gun! Projecting a gun at contact distance using a conventional stance will often result in our losing the gun. In order to survive the first few seconds of an attack, students are taught simple grappling and striking moves in order to buy time to access the knife or edged weapon. Edged weapons represent a key part of an integrated fighting system, and are superior to empty hand and firearm skills under certain circumstances. Goal of this course is to teach the student critical empty hand, edged weapon and close-contact handgun skills along with the knowledge of how to transition from skill-set to skill-set when responding to a physical attack.

Private Classes:

We can tailor a class to meet your needs and schedule. Our rate is $50 per hour with a four-hour minimum. We can accommodate up to four students in each private class, which means each student would pay a total of $50 for four hours of training.
